I tried to imitate an egg my grandfather had made. He used to carve etchings into wooden eggs then paint the lines with a thin little paint brush. He didn't make a lot, but I always liked this one for some reason. Too bad I never got to meet him and learn how to do them his way.
The pattern is similar, if a little wobbly, to his. But the colour scheme is different.
Tools: egg with yolk blown out, kistka, beeswax, dye (golden yellow, orange, dark red, black)
